Colors are used for various purposes. A few examples are:
RED is often used to signal emergency and danger, for catching our attention, for expressing a strong emotion such as love or anger. Artists also use red to draw our focus to the main character or main subject of the artwork.
GREEN symbolizes health and nature, so it is a popular choice for food companies.
BLUE, according to psychology tests, gives us a sense of calm, dependability and trustworthiness. Artists also use blue to express sadness or serenity.
Artists and designers use the color wheel to help them choose and mix colors for their projects.
There are many ways to use the color wheel. Today we looked at 2 ways.
COLOR HARMONY means the overall artwork looks good when the chosen colors are used together.
Then we looked at some examples of how artists, designers and event planners use colors in their projects.
We looked at some famous paintings and observed how the artists use colors.
